Hugh Freeze has high praise for LSU QB Jayden Daniels, who is worthy of the Heisman Trophy conversation.

“There’s not a weakness on that offense,” Freeze said on Monday at his regular press conference. “I think their offense is the most explosive that I’ve seen in a long, long time.”

LSU is in a class by itself, according to Freeze.

“I don’t think you stop him,” Freeze said. “There’s too many weapons around him and he’s too good. The key to this game is can you hold them to field goals? … To this point, it’s the best offensive personnel I’ve seen in this league.”

Daniels is coming off another big game in a win at Missouri, and he was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Daniels dealt with bruised ribs in the 49-39 win over No. 21 Missouri, and accounted for 389 yards (259 passing, 130 rushing) and 4 TDs (3 passing, 1 rushing) in the comeback victory.

Daniels also extended his school-record streak of consecutive games accounting for at least 4 touchdowns to 5 straight. The rushing total was a career-best, with a TD, and he was also 10-of-12 passing in the second half, for 259 yards and 3 scores.
