The Hula Bowl is a college football all-star game with a ton of history. It was first held in 1946, and there have been a ton of stars who have played in it since then.

For much of its existence, the Hula Bowl has taken place at Aloha Stadium, including the past two editions of the game. However, things will be a bit different in 2022.

Because Aloha Stadium is currently closed for repairs and upgrades, the 2022 Hula Bowl is going to be held at the Bounce House on the campus of UCF in Orlando. The decision was announced by UCF on Monday.

“We’re going to be aggressive about doing everything we can to make this the preeminent college all-star game in the country,” UCF vice president and director of athletics Terry Mohajir said in a statement. “This will be a great event for our community, and it’s another indication that our location and UCF are the future of college football.”

The 2022 Hula Bowl is scheduled for Jan. 15, and UCF announced that ticket information will be available later on.

Although the game won’t be held in Hawaii per usual, it won’t change the fact that a ton of top college talent will be on the field, competing in a fun exhibition at the end of the season. And once Aloha Stadium is upgraded, it should only make things better for future years.
