Hunter Dickinson will announce his commitment on Thursday.

He announced that news late Wednesday night in a heartfelt ‘thank you’ message to the Michigan faithful. He spent 3 seasons with the Wolverines and made a pair of trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky has been heavily involved in Dickinson’s recruitment since he entered the portal. Two weeks ago, Dickinson said he met with head coach John Calipari to discuss his recruitment. Dickinson also took a visit to Lexington during the process.

Kansas has also been recruiting Dickinson and has more of a need at the center position. For Kentucky, it’s still unclear whether or not Oscar Tshiebwe intends to return for another campaign in 2023-24.

Dickinson is a former All-American and one of the most experienced centers in the country. He was a 3-star starter for the Wolverines and averaged over 18 points and 9 rebounds per game last season.

Kentucky’s 2023 recruiting class includes 5 high school prospects, including 5-star center Aaron Bradshaw. If the Wildcats land Dickinson in the portal, he would be the program’s first transfer commitment of this offseason.
