Hurricane Ian is expected to hit Florida this week and could make landfall as a strong Category 4 hurricane.

Already, plans are being made in the college football world to account for the storm’s impact. We’ve seen South Carolina move its game against South Carolina State to Thursday night. We’ve seen USF move its game against East Carolina from Tampa across the state to Boca Raton.

Now, Florida is changing its schedule, too. The Gators’ Week 5 matchup against Eastern Washington will now be played on Sunday at noon Eastern time instead of on Saturday:

Per Florida’s release, tickets to Saturday’s game will be honored for Sunday’s rescheduled matchup. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.

Classes and all activities on campus at Florida have been canceled Wednesday through Friday.
