Ify Obidegwu, 4-star CB out of Maryland, keeps 2 SEC programs on top 7 list

Ify Obidegwu is one of the top cornerbacks in the country for the class of 2024. Monday morning, he updated his recruitment with two SEC West programs in the mix.
Alabama and Tennessee made the mix for Obidegwu with Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State and USC in the mix.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Obidegwu has been playing for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, he’s a 4-star recruit and the No. 15 CB nationally for the class of 2024. Obidegwu also rates as the 6th player out of Maryland and the 158th recruit in the country.
As things currently stand, both Alabama and Tennessee have a 4-star defensive back committed for 2024 but would love to add more. Alabama holds a pledge from Jaylen Mbakwe (No. 5 CB nationally) while Tennessee has a commitment from Kaleb Beasley (No. 14 CB).
