Indianapolis police arrest Mark Sanchez for his role in stabbing incident

Indianapolis police have announced the arrest of former USC quarterback and current FOX analyst Mark Sanchez.
Sanchez was reportedly stabbed in Indianapolis early Saturday morning. While details regarding the incident are not yet known, Indianapolis police arrested Sanchez in the hospital on Saturday for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.
Per the statement, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the “final charging decision” in this case.
Sanchez was in Indianapolis as he was supposed to be the analyst on the FOX broadcast of the Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders game, which kicks off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Before he was a broadcaster, he enjoyed a solid NFL career where he helped lead the New York Jets to the AFC Championship Game in both of his first two seasons. He was a star college player at USC before being drafted by the New York Jets with the fifth pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.
He has been an analyst at FOX since 2021, where he does both broadcasts of games as appearances on numerous FOX shows.
