Florida had one of its most important starters, LT Martez Ivey, back at practice on Thursday.

Ivey missed Monday’s practice – the last session with media availability – due to “swelling,” according to coach Jim McElwain, who did not describe the injury in detail. After playing primarily at left guard the past two seasons, Ivey is working at left tackle, his high school position, replacing last year’s starter David Sharpe.

Last week, Ivey talked about the adjustments of moving back to tackle.

“Being patient,” Ivey said is his biggest adjustment. “One-hundred percent just being patient. I’m not at guard no more, so it takes a little bit longer for me to make contact with the defender.”
