Vanderbilt travels to Starkville, Miss., to face the No. 4 Mississippi State Bulldogs. Here’s a look inside the numbers.

THE GOOD

838: Ralph Webb set a new school record with 838 rushing yards. The redshirt freshman is averaging 83.8 yards per game and has three touchdowns. Webb is the most consistent offensive player on Vanderbilt’s roster and looks to finish the season strong.

74: Nigel Bowden leads Vanderbilt with 74 tackles in 10 games. Bowden is averaging 7.4 tackles per game and has two games with double-digit tackles. The redshirt freshman had six tackles in the Commodores Week 12 loss to Florida.

THE BAD

-12: Vanderbilt has a -12 turnover margin. The Commodores have thrown 14 interceptions and nine fumbles lost. Vanderbilt is averaging -1.2 turnovers per game and had a -4 margin in its last game.

120: The Commodores rank No. 120 overall in total offense. Vanderbilt is averaging 296.5 yards per game and has totaled 2,965 yards of offense in 10 games. Johnny McCrary looked to boost the Commodores offense after being named starting quarterback, but struggled in Week 9.

15.0: Vanderbilt is averaging 15.0 receptions per game. The Commodores rank No. 110 overall in team passing efficiency, averaging 108.10. Vanderbilt also ranks No. 105 in passing offense, with 182.1 yards per game.

243.2: Mississippi State has the No. 18 overall rushing offense. The Bulldogs are averaging 243.2 rushing yards per game. Vanderbilt has struggled against SEC offenses in 2014 and is expected to do so against Mississippi State.
