The Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl will be interim offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger’s last game as play-caller before new offensive coordinator Matt Canada takes over. Ensminger has already has accomplished his goal as offensive coordinator, however, as that was making sure Ed Orgeron became the full-time head coach.
Ensminger said he told O "I'm doing this for you. I'm going to do everything to make you the (permanent) head coach here." #LSU

Ensminger was promoted from tight ends coach to offensive coordinator after Orgeron reportedly made the call to fire former offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. The offense roared to life under Entsminger, as the Tigers scored 38 points or more on five occasions (Missouri, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M). In the first four games with Cameron, the season high was 34 points against FCS opponent Jacksonville State.
We hear of players going all in for a coach trying to win a job, but we rarely think of assistant coaches as battling for an interim coach the way Ensminger did for Orgeron.
Ensminger: I told Coach O I'm doing this for you. You deserve this job. I could care less about be OC at #LSU.
