Let the champagne pop on Rocky Top. Quavaris Crouch is officially a Tennessee Volunteer.

Commitments are celebrated by many fans, but some want to wait until the ink is dry on the Letter of Intent and the fax is in. In the case of Crouch, the fax is in.

UT made the announcement Friday night a couple hours after Crouch revealed his decision live on local TV.

The Volunteers also released a clip of Crouch’s recruiter, tight ends coach Brian Niedermeyer, talking about the elite athlete he helped get to sign with UT:

The 247Sports Composite is used to rank not only recruits (Crouch is rated the No. 1 North Carolina product, No. 2 athlete and No. 39 prospect overall nationally), but also recruiters. The big commitment has helped vault Niedermeyer up to No. 29 nationally in the recruiter rankings.
