On Wednesday, the Gamecocks released a preseason hype video that is drawing attention on social media. Jacksonville State opens its season Thursday night against Southeastern Louisiana at 8:00 p.m.

Jacksonville State competes in the Ohio Valley Conference of the FCS. The Gamecocks were eliminated in the second round of the FCS playoffs.
