Jadan Baugh and the Florida Gators capped off their 2025 season with an emphatic 41-20 victory against in-state rival Florida State on Saturday. Baugh had a monster day, as he finished with 38 carries for 266 yards and two touchdowns.
With just over 56 seconds left, the Gators had the ball at the 12-yard line. While he was instructed to slide, Baugh made the decision to add insult to injury to his rival and score a touchdown.
After the game, Baugh said that he ignored his coach and had to deliver an extra message to his rival.
“Man, coach told me to slide, but I was like, ‘Coach, don’t do me like that, we don’t like these guys,” Baugh said after the game.
For context, here’s a clip of Baugh’s second and final touchdown of the night, which put an exclamation point on a 41-20 win over the Noles:
Baugh ended his sophomore campaign with 1,170 rushing yards, and he figures to be one of the most important players for Florida to keep in the offseason.
It has been a disappointing year for the Gators, who ended the year with a record of 4-8. The school decided early in the season to fire Billy Napier, and now will put all of its focus on bringing in the next coach.
