LSU’s recruiting class has taken a hit as four-star California native Jaden Navarrette has flipped his commitment from the Tigers to Oregon. The Norco, Calif. native pledged to the Tigers during the program’s latest spring game less than two weeks ago.

This drops LSU’s 2020 commitment list down to 10 but the Tigers still hold commitments from eight prospects rated as four-stars and one five-star for this recruiting cycle. However, the Tigers do not hold a commitment from a linebacker following this news.

Navarrette announced the news by posting the following message on Twitter:

“First of all, I’d like to say that a point in every young man’s life he has to mature and make life-changing decisions with the best interest of God, his family, and his future in mind. Through this process, I have been fortunate to have an amazing support system and experience so many wonderful staffs, communities and football programs. After long talks with my family and coaches, I have decided to rescind my commitment to LSU and get my wings in Eugene, Oregon by committing to the Ducks. I am so appreciative to Coach Orgeron and the LSU fans for all the love. I am looking forward to once again wearing green and living out a lifelong dream of balling out for Coach Cristobal in Autzen Stadium.”
