Will Georgia bring out the black jerseys in the Jake Fromm era?
It hasn’t happened yet, but the UGA QB is hopeful it might happen this season.
According to SEC on CBS’ Brad Nessler, who spoke with 92.9 The Game, Fromm wants to wear the uniforms for the night home game against Notre Dame. CBS recently announced the Bulldogs and Irish will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET on September 21, and Fromm would like to see the black threads, according to Nessler.
“We also talked about the Notre Dame night game, and Jake mentioned that — I don’t know if I should say this, I haven’t told anyone this — I think we should wear black jerseys. I said you better get to work on that with Kirby right now, because that’s getting close,” Nessler said.
“I’d just like to wear them once,” Fromm told Nessler.
Georgia last wore the black jerseys in 2016 against Louisiana-Lafayette, when the Dawgs beat the Ragin’ Cajuns 35-21.
Would Smart let the Dawgs pull out the black jerseys for one of the biggest non-conference games in college football? It’ll be interesting to find out.
