Jake Fromm says he’s being careful, but hasn’t changed lifestyle following 2018 fishhook incident

Summers for Jake Fromm in the past have included a fish hook caught in his leg, and a broken hand suffered while boating on Lake Burton. He’s an outdoors guy and makes no bones about it.
In fact, as he arrived at SEC Media Days, Cody Chaffins of Fox 5 noted that there aren’t questions this year about recovering from an injury, or even avoiding one.
“A little bit more safe,” the Georgia QB said. “Still doing the same things. Still hunting, still fishing, still having fun with my friends. Really trying to stay on the down low. Really trying not to be trending on Twitter any time soon, with any fish hooks. Just trying to stay safe.”
Without a proven backup at the level of former teammates Jacob Eason and Justin Fields alongside him anymore, Fromm’s health has perhaps never been more important than this season. But Fromm has also played himself into the elite group of quarterbacks in the country, and a main reason why Georgia has received a host of accolades and high expectations this summer.
