Want to get a heated discussion started with an Aggies football fan?
Just mention the name “Jake Spavital” and you’re sure to get an inspired reaction.
The Texas A&M offensive coordinator has caught the ire of upset Aggies fans for the better part of the last season.
So much so that many of them were convinced that he was no longer going to be with the team following the Music City Bowl loss on Wednesday.
There are even rumors surfacing about who may be his replacement.
But, as of Sunday afternoon, Spavital is still gainfully employed by Texas A&M to the best of our knowledge.
The anticipation for a move has made for some hilarious Tweets:

If Jake Spavital doesn't get fired, A&M fans should throw him out of town themselves.

Why hasn't Jake Spavital been fired yet?

While we’re not really in the business of cheering for coaches to lose their jobs, we’ll instead hope for both parties to find a way to be happy again. Somehow.
