The Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman went for the interception when Patrick Mahomes spiked the ball before the end of the second half, sliding underneath the center to do so, and the ball bounced into and out of his hands. “I saw it on the internet, I’ve seen it on YouTube, some high school kid tried, and he actually caught the ball,” Carter said after the game. “I thought, ‘That’s a good idea,’ I knew they would spike it, so I tried to go for it.”
