Catalon was a 2020 AP All-SEC First Team selection and a preseason All-American each of the last 2 seasons. The injury bug, however, has significantly limited Catalon’s time on the field.
In 2020, Catalon recorded 99 tackles, including 2 for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 4 pass breakups and 3 interceptions in 10 games. Since then, however, he has been limited to just 7 games over the last 2 seasons.
Catalon played in the first 6 games of Arkansas’ 2021 season before suffering a season-ending injury. He had 8 tackles in Arkansas’ 2022 season opener against Cincinnati, the only appearance he made this past season, missing the rest of the year due to injury.
Arkansas considered Catalon a redshirt junior in 2022, his fourth season with the program. With the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for 2020, he has 2 remaining seasons of eligibility entering 2023.
