Former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts is one of the more interesting prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

The Heisman Trophy finalist won’t be the No. 1 overall pick like past Oklahoma QBs Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, but he could still end up having a strong NFL career.

Hurts has overcome a lot to get where he is today, losing his starting job at Alabama before ending his career at Oklahoma. He detailed that in a promo for the upcoming NFL Draft, which you can see below:

“Adversity comes along the way,” Hurts said. “It’s all about handling it the right way. You gotta keep your head down and see it through. That motivation comes from within. My story, my family, that name on the back of that jersey — Jalen Hurts, quarterback, Oklahoma. … The highlight of my career had to be winning championships and understanding the hard work it took to get there. An NFL team is getting a dog, a warrior, a historically finesse player, a leader, a rare breed.”

Hurts is currently projected by many as a Day 2 pick (Rounds 2 and 3), but some have him as a late-Round 1 selection. We’ll see where he goes when the NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 23.
