Jalen Hurts drawing praise across social media after dominant 1st half vs. Vikings

Jalen Hurts is putting on a show as the Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the Minnesota Vikings on “Monday Night Football”.
Through 1 half of play, the former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback is 17-of-20 passing for 251 yards and a touchdown. But he’s getting it done with his feet as well: 7 carries for 50 yards and 2 touchdowns. The 2nd one put the Eagles up by 2 touchdowns as they took a 21-7 lead just before the 2-minute warning:

Hurts had a decent showing in Week 1 in a 38-35 win over the Detroit Lions, completing 18 of his 32 passes for 243 yards but with 0 touchdowns. He did plenty of damage on the ground, though, running 17 times for 90 yards and a touchdown. He’s trending toward ending Week 2 with a much better stat line as the Eagles look to improve to 2-0 on the young season.
And, of course, social media had plenty of reaction to Hurts’ performance, with former NFL safety and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark wondering if the 3rd-year QB is making an early MVP case:
Jalen Hurts in the too early MVP conversation?

Jalen Hurts is getting better and better. Eagles have flirted with multiple other QBs. They can stop looking.
