Jalen Hurts is on top of the sports world right now, as he helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl Championship after the knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, on Sunday night. The win prevented the Chiefs from becoming the first team in NFL history to win 3 Super Bowls in a row, and Hurts was named the MVP of the game for his performance.
On Monday, the former Alabama and Oklahoma QB did what nearly every Super Bowl MVP does, and went and celebrated at Disney World.
Hurts threw and early interception against the Chiefs, but he finished the game 17-of-22 for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. His first passing touchdown of the game was to AJ Brown, and it gave the Eagles a 24-0 lead late in the first half.
In the second half, Hurts delivered the knockout blow to Kansas City as he hit DeVonta Smith on a 46-yard touchdown that helped put the game completely out of reach. Not only did Hurts have a good game passing the ball, but he was also outstanding running the ball with 11 carries for 72 yards.
Hurts and Mahomes are now 1-1 all-time against each other in a Super Bowl, and both of these teams figure to once again be among the league’s best next season.
