Several quarterbacks are higher on the NFL Draft board than Jalen Hurts; however, the former Sooners and Tide signal caller helped himself with Thursday’s performance at the NFL Combine.
Of all the quarterbacks, Hurts ran the fastest 40-time at 4.59. That’s not blazing, but it’s plenty fast to play a role in 2020, especially at 222 pounds.

Hurts also looked really sharp in passing drills. Yeah, we get it — all quarterbacks look good against air, but Hurts’ passes were on time and accurate. He also threw a very nice deep ball during drills.
Jalen Hurts is slinging the ball on those go routes… Those balls looking very nice coming out of his hand… #NFLCombine2020

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah knows the areas where Hurts needs to improve, but he doesn’t see him falling out of the second round.
“I don’t see him getting out of the 2nd round.”@MoveTheSticks likes what he sees from @JalenHurts 👇

Watching the #NFLCombine. Jalen Hurts looks good. Hope he put that playing another position crap that teams were asking him to bed. He's a quarterback.
