Jalen Hurts has been a big reason why the Philadelphia Eagles entered Sunday against the Washington Commanders on a 10-game winning streak. However, the former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback is out for the remainder of the game after he was evaluated for a concussion.

Hurts was forced to leave the game after a collision early in the game. He appeared to motion to the referee that he was fine, but he was forced to go to the locker room and be evaluated for an injury.

The injury isn’t slowing down the Eagles offense, as they have scored 21 points already early in the second quarter against the Commanders. Filling in for Hurts is former Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett, who connected with AJ Brown for a touchdown moments after Hurts left the game.

Running back Saquon Barkley is continuing his march to potentially breaking Eric Dickerson’s record as he has already rushed for 109 yards in just the first quarter. The Eagles are right there with the Detroit Lions when it comes to being the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The 2 teams are tied, but the Lions still hold the tiebreaker when it comes to getting the top spot.
