Jalen Hurts, a budding superstar with the Philadelphia Eagles, will soon work with his doppelganger, a UPS driver named Mykol Gummings on a new project with ESPN.
Gummings shared on TikTok the news that he would participate in the project, and recalled how he went viral because he looked like the former Alabama and Oklahoma star.
“A lot of people mistake me for him because they think we look alike, we do,” Gummings said. “Now, ESPN is coming to fly me out to Philadelphia and I’m going to get to meet him.”
One “bad part” for Gummings is that Hurts doesn’t have a beard.
“I’m really in it for the experience, and God-willing it takes me places,” Gummings said. “But it’s one of those things like damn, I’ve really got to shave my beard again. It’ll grow back. You feel me? I know I look good without the beard so I’m not tripping, but it’s like, damn. But I’m excited for this opportunity, this is something I’ve been keeping under the covers for a long time. I’ve been knowing about it for maybe a month and a half now and I’m a very blessed individual, I’m thankful for the opportunity.”
Gummings also promised to share updates along the way.
