Jalen Milroe has been a touchdown machine in his first 3 games working with coach Kalen DeBoer. In Saturday’s 42-10 romp on the road, Milroe produced 5 total touchdowns and nearly 300 yards of offense.
Against Wisconsin, Milroe completed 12 of his 17 pass attempts for 196 yards and 3 scores. He ran for another 75 yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 carries. Milroe didn’t throw an interception — his seventh straight without a pick — and was only sacked once.
The performance also marked the third straight game for Milroe in which he produced multiple passing touchdowns and multiple rushing scores. He’s the first FBS player to do so in 3 straight games since 2012, when Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch (Oct. 13-27) and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel (Nov. 17 – Jan. 4) both did it.
Per the SEC Network, Milroe has also tied an SEC high mark for the most touchdowns scored by a player in his team’s first 3 games over the last 20 years.
Alabama scored touchdowns in every quarter against the Badgers. They had 12 possessions in the game and didn’t have consecutive drives without a score at any point throughout.
Milroe had explosive pass plays of 23, 26, 31, 37, and 47 yards. He also had 3 explosive rushing attempts, including a 26-yard scamper in the first quarter. When he looked downfield, he was outstanding.

Milroe’s passer efficiency rating of 225.7 was the best mark in a single game (min. 10 attempts) against an FBS opponent in his career.
For the season, Milroe is up to 590 passing yards, 156 rushing yards, and 14 total touchdowns. He’s averaging 8.5 yards per play.
The Crimson Tide are 3-0 on the season. They’ll head into a bye week in Week 4, with a massive home tilt against Georgia awaiting on the other side.
