Jalen Milroe says Alabama had to flip the page and ‘take care of business’ vs. Tennessee
Jalen Milroe and Alabama didn’t have the first half they were hoping for against Tennessee on Saturday.
But some adjustments at the half led to a dominant second half that saw the Tide come out on top 34-20. Milroe had 220 yards and 2 touchdowns on the day.
The second half turnaround was exactly what Alabama needed to get a revenge win after Tennessee took last year’s game, and Milroe knew his team just had to handle business.
“It’s all about our brotherhood, our commitment, and then everything comes down to the 4th quarter like we talked about in the offseason,” Milroe said following the game. “We’re not packing in today. What a great win, what a great opponent and that’s the way to get it. To lose a tough game, we know what happened last year, but the biggest thing we had to do was flip the page acknowledge that we have a game this year and we’ve got to take care of business.”
The win was exactly what Alabama needed heading into the bye week next week, and now the Tide has a chance to inch even closer to an SEC West title against LSU.
