Jalon Daniels took Big 12 Media Days fashion to another level on Wednesday as he unveiled a chain that played his highlights on a loop.

Daniels represented Kansas at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and wore a shiny gold suit, white dress shirt, red tie and easily the most creative piece of neckwear this side of any red carpet, media days or draft green room.

The chain had Daniels’ initials and number “JD6” inscribed, plus a silhouette of the Heisman pose.

“We got the piece playing the highlights cause honestly, if it weren’t for me making a few of these plays here, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Daniels said. “So just a reminder when I’m walking around, it’s just what I do. I like to play football, I like to play quarterback, I like to score touchdowns.”

Daniels turned plenty of heads last season as KU had a noteworthy start to the season.

He was recently named KU’s first-ever Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year after he led the Jayhawks to a 5-0 start and entered some early Heisman Trophy conversations before he suffered a shoulder injury against TCU.

SEC fans may remember a dramatic comeback against Arkansas in a triple-overtime Liberty Bowl loss. In 9 games, Daniels completed 66.1% of his passes for 2,014 yards with 18 passing touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He also ran for 419 yards and 7 TDs.
