Jam Miller taken to locker room after brutal hit to the head vs. Mizzou

Jam Miller required attention on the sidelines after taking a forceful hit to the head in the 4th quarter against Mizzou. He had to be helped off the field and is now in the locker room.
The Alabama running back converted a big first down for the Crimson Tide, but got absolutely rocked in the process by Missouri defender Jalen Catalon. The hit sent Miller out of bounds, and he was down for several minutes before having to be helped off the field.
Here’s a look at the play:
Obviously, this is a big loss for Alabama if Miller is not able to return to this game. No word has been given on Miller’s status, but the potential for a concussion on such a brutal hit to the head makes his return appear unlikely — especially with just under a quarter to play.
Miller has been strong in this one, too. The Alabama running back had totaled 85 yards at an average of 4.3 yards per play, but he was key on a scoring drive at the end of the 3rd quarter to give Alabama a 20-17 lead. As Mizzou’s run defense tires, Miller was set to take on an important role in finishing this one out for Alabama.
We’ll update this story when a report updates Jam Miller’s status for the remainder of this game.
