Former LSU defensive back Jamal Adams has been sidelined with a reported concussion for the Seattle Seahawks, exiting his first game in 13 months. Even worse, it happened after just 9 snaps.
The Seahawks were forced to wait over an entire year to have Adams back on the field after he tore his quad Week 1 in 2022.
Adams took a knee to the helmet during Monday Night Football’s game between the Seahawks and New York Giants. He was later taken to the medical tent and declared out for the rest of the game with concussion symptoms.

Over the course of his professional career Adams has recorded 446 combined tackles (328 solo), 7 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, 4 interceptions and 1 touchdown.
A timetable for Adams’ return has, of course, not been announced by the Seahawks. The typical recovery is based on a players’ history while in concussion protocol and could range from a few days to a few weeks.
The Seahawks face the Cincinnati Bengals next on the schedule at noon this Sunday.
