Ja’Marr Chase reacts to Joe Burrow’s return to practice field after missing preseason
Ja’Marr Chase seemed to be in a good mood on Wednesday. It could have had something to do with Joe Burrow’s return to the practice field.
Burrow was back on the field Wednesday after not playing in the preseason due to a calf injury he suffered on Jul. 27. Chase talked about what it was like to have QB1 back.
“We’ve still got a little more to see. He didn’t really do as much today. You’re always working into it when it’s your first day back. You’re just getting a feel for your reps again, your timing and stuff like that. When Joe’s in there it’s a little more dialed in, because he’s quicker with reaction timing.”

While Chase is just as happy as anyone, he noted how important it is for the Cincinatti Bengals QB to be back as soon as possible, but also as healthy as possible.
Burrow played in 16 games for the Bengals last season. He is a very important piece of the offense and will be missed if he is out for more time. It would be better if Burrow is at 100% for the season opener in Chase’s eyes.
Cincinatti starts the year off vs. the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 10. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
