Jameer Grimsley, 4-star CB out of Florida, puts 2 SEC programs in top 3

Jameer Grimsley has narrowed down his list of potential future schools.

Grimsley announced a top 3 of Alabama, Florida and Michigan on Thursday. He’s set to make his commitment on Saturday, July 1.

Here’s his announcement:

Grimsley is one of the top athletes in the country. He’s the No. 233 overall player and the No. 18 cornerback in the nation for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 36 player from the state of Florida.

He attends Tampa Catholic High School in Tampa, Fla. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds.

Florida has an elite recruiting class so far this cycle, as the Gators rank in the top 5 of 247Sports Composite rankings. Alabama has just 9 commitments so far, but 7 of those prospects are 4-star recruits.

Grimsley visited Alabama earlier this month. He’s also taken trips to Florida State, Michigan, Penn State and North Carolina during June.
