Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class is looking very nice as the early signing period opened on Wednesday.
Jamaree Salyer, the nation’s No. 1 OG, announced that he was remaining in Georgia and heading to Athens to play with the Bulldogs. Georgia’s class also received confirmation that James Cook is also heading to Athens.
Cook, the No. 3 RB in the country for 2018 according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, announced that he is signing with Georgia. Cook has been committed to the Bulldogs since October, but a recent weekend visit to Florida State led to speculation he may flip.
In the end, Cook has decided not to follow in the steps of his brother Dalvin Cook and will carve his own path in Athens. Cook will join the nation’s No. 1 RB Zamir White in Athens.
