James Franklin tackles player who dumped Gatorade on him after Cotton Bowl win

When the Cotton Bowl box score is finalized, Penn State coach James Franklin should be credited for a tackle.
After the Nittany Lions’ 53-39 win over Memphis in the New Year’s 6 bowl game, a pair of Penn State players dumped Gatorade over Franklin.
As you can see in the video below, he then reacted by playfully tackling one of the players to the ground in what we have to admit was a pretty solid form tackle:

Franklin seems to be a fun coach to play for, and after Penn State finished the year 11-2, it was a great year to be a Nittany Lion.
Now, we’ll go check the NCAA records and see if Franklin has any eligibility left so he can suit up at linebacker next fall.
