One of the nation’s top overall prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle is getting close to making his college decision.

Five-star Opa Locka, Fla., native James Williams announced on Thursday evening his recruitment is down to Georgia and Miami. Previously, Williams was considering Alabama, Auburn and Clemson and even announced a top three of Alabama, Clemson and Georgia before elevating the Hurricanes into his shortlist of finalists.

At one point, Williams was committed to Miami before he decided to reopen his recruitment back in May of 2019.

The 6-foot-5, 218-pound Western High School standout is rated as the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 1 athlete in the country for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Williams has also been selected to compete in the 2021 All-American Bowl when his high school playing career comes to an end.
