Jameson Williams earns interesting praise from Lions teammate: ‘He’s just a sick person in general’
Jameson Williams was one of the NFL players during the offseason who learned that he would have to sit out for violating gambling rules. While Williams won’t be able to play at first, that won’t stop his teammates from praising him during training camp.
C.J. Gardner Johnson spoke to the media recently and called himself contagious, comparing himself to the flu. When asked if Williams was sick in the same way, Gardner-Johnson called the former Alabama wideout “just a sick person in general.”
“Jameson’s just a sick person in general,” said Gardner-Johnson. “I’m not talking about in a bad way, he’s just his own type of player. I’m ready for him to play. I don’t know about y’all, but he’s one of the best receivers in the game right now.”
And Jameson Williams?

NFL players can’t take part in sports gambling while at a league facility or when traveling with the team.
The suspension means that Williams be playing his first game of the 2023 regular season in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 22.
The former Crimson Tide star stated in an interview earlier this offseason that he is not planning on appealing the suspension. It’s good that Williams’ still have his back throughout this experience.
