Mississippi prospect Janari Dean down to five SEC schools, announces decision date

Janari Dean is close to making his final decision.

The South Panola standout running back/defensive back from Batesville, Miss. recently announced his list of finalists includes nothing but SEC programs and a date for his upcoming decision. Come the Fourth of July, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina or Tennessee will be adding another name to their 2020 recruiting class.

Dean announced this latest update on his recruitment on Twitter.

The 6-foot, 190-Dean is currently rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 13 overall prospect from Mississippi by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Interestingly enough, his latest visit was to Ole Miss, but the Rebels did not make his final list. Alabama also recently offered him a scholarship but the Tide did not make his list, either.
