Arkansas is playing some great football early against No. 16 Oklahoma State. The Razorbacks held tight on 4th down during the Cowboys’ first drive and turned it into a touchdown drive of their own courtesy of running back Ja’Quinden Jackson.

Arkansas now leads the Cowboys 7-0 with 5:52 to go in the first quarter. Here’s Jackson’s touchdown rush to cap a 6-play, 45-yard drive:

There’s no denying Arkansas has looked different so far in 2024 compared to what was a very disappointing 2023 campaign. The Razorbacks absolutely torched Arkansas Pine Bluff last week (as they should have) and have gotten it done on both sides thus far against a team that some believe will contend for the Big 12 this season. Not to mention, the Razorbacks are on the road in Stillwater.

Arkansas has come out with a clear agenda today: They want to run the ball on an OK State defense that gave up 12 rushing yards to an FCS program last week. So far, they’ve been able to do just that.

Jackson and dual-threat QB Taylen Green have rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown already and are well on their way to rushing for over 200 yards in this one. The Razorbacks are averaging just under 8 yards per carry thus far.

Let’s see if Oklahoma State can make any adjustments as the game wears on.
