Kentucky legend Jared Lorenzen passed away recently, and the popular quarterback has received an outpouring of tributes.

Now that football season is once again approaching, teams that were impacted by Lorenzen are coming up with great ways to honor him.

Per Kentucky.com, Lorenzen’s high school — Highlands High School — will paint the hashmarks on each 22-yard line blue in his honor. Photos can be seen in the article.

Additionally, Highlands will wear helmet stickers with Lorenzen’s No. 22 on them. They showed off the stickers on Twitter:

Lorenzen made a positive impact on nearly everyone he came in contact with, and it’s great to see his legacy honored like this.

Kentucky QB Terry Wilson has also hinted at the idea of wearing No. 22 in the Wildcats’ first game to honor Lorenzen.
