JaReylan McCoy is a 4-star defensive line recruit from Tupelo, Miss. Although he is in the class of 2026, his high school career will be over before he knows it.
On Sunday, McCoy released his top 6 schools, and 4 SEC programs are in the hunt: Kentucky, LSU, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. They will need to beat out B1G teams Oregon and USC as well.
McCoy is considered the No. 10 defensive line recruit in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports’ composite rating. He also ranks just inside the top 100 nationally and is considered the No. 5 player in Mississippi.
As a sophomore, McCoy was credited with 44 total tackles and 12.0 tackles for a loss, including 11.0 sacks and 8 QB hurries. He also forced a pair of fumbles.
Along with his finalists, McCoy has been offered by the likes of Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State — 16 offers in all — but 6 schools have made his final cut.
