Tennessee wide receiver Jason Croom will miss the team’s bowl game, wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni confirmed Tuesday. Croom suffered a knee injury in practice earlier this week and will be unavailable for the Vols TaxSlayer Bowl Game against Iowa on Jan. 2.

Croom is the fourth Tennessee wide receiver to suffer a season-ending injury in 2014, following Marquez North (shoulder), Josh Smith (ankle) and Cody Blanc (achilles). The 6-foot-5, 243-pound receiver has been a solid option in the Vols offense, recording 305 yards and four touchdowns on 21 receptions.

Croom has battled injuries this season, including playing his first three games with a cast covering a wrist injury and being limited during the Vols’ regular season finale against Vanderbilt due to a leg injury.
