Tennessee got a big boost to next year’s roster Wednesday as Jauan Jennings, the team’s leading returning receiver from last season, announced his plans to come back in 2018.
Jennings injured his wrist in the season opener against Georgia Tech and has yet to return from that setback. During his Tennessee career, the junior has caught 57 passes for 746 yards and seven touchdowns. Of course, his best moment as a Vol came against Georgia last season when he hauled in a game-winning Hail Mary pass from Joshua Dobbs.
Jennings made the announcement live on his Instagram feed, which also came with a huge prediction:

Perhaps more important to the team than his production on the field, Jennings is regarded by many to be the team’s most physical player. Without Jennings in the lineup, the Tennessee receiving corps has lacked a level of intensity he brought to the field each and every game. His presence very well could trickle down to the rest of the team, which will be sorely needed if mass improvements are to be made on Rocky Top next season.
