Jaxson Dart and the Ole Miss Rebels lost two weeks ago to Kentucky in a game that nobody saw coming. However, the Rebels were able to bounce back in a big way with a 27-3 win against South Carolina last week.
After that frustrating loss to Kentucky, Dart said the team had to make a choice.
“When you go through adversity, there are 2 ways you can go about,” Dart said. “You can either divide or come together. The guys in the locker room from them all the way to the coaching staff, we all felt the urgency. I thought it was huge that we were able to bounce back against a really good South Carolina team.”
Getting that win was big for the Rebels, as Ole Miss has a tough game this week at LSU. These 2 teams played a classic game last year, with the Rebels winning 55-49 in a thriller. Dart knows the Tigers will be ready for this game.
“Going into Death Valley is always a tough task,” Dart said. “I played there my first year and just how electric the atmosphere is. I am really excited opportunity. It’s always a fun game. We are going up against a great team and playing for the Magnolia trophy, we are doing whatever we can to be ready for it.”
Ole Miss hits the road as a 3.5-point favorite per bet365. We’ll see if Dart and the offense can produce in a hostile environment with the pressure on to reach the College Football Playoff.
Dart on the season has thrown for 2,100 yards and 13 touchdowns, and could make a push for a Heisman run with a big game against LSU.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be on ABC.
