Jaxson Dart was taken back to the locker room shortly after the start of Ole Miss’s battle against Georgia. Dart, who has starred for the Rebels this season as one of the top QBs in the SEC, was replaced by Austin Simmons.
Dart had a really rough start to this one. He took back-to-back sacks before throwing a rough interception, overthrowing his receiver over the middle.
There has been no update on Dart’s status for the remainder of this game, but he was walking with a visible limp and, according to TV reports, was favoring his ankle in the locker room.
Dart was able to return to the sideline a few plays later to see Simmons lead the Rebels’ opening touchdown drive of the afternoon. We’ll see if he returns to the field on the next drive.
