Jaxson Dart and Ole Miss are a favorite to be one of the 12 teams in the first-ever College Football Playoff after a historic 11-win season and a first-ever New Year’s Six appearance.
On Saturday, the Rebels are hosting Furman at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. It’s expected to be smooth sailing for the hosts, who have opened up a 7-0 lead over the visiting Paladins just over 3 minutes into the contest.
That’s thanks to Dart, who took off for a 15-yard run for the Rebels’ first touchdown of the season:

Dart threw for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns last season while running for eight more TDs.
The high-powered Ole Miss offense should be in full force on Saturday. Lane Kiffin’s team is favored by as many as 43 points over their FCS opponent. While the Paladins won’t present a challenge, it should serve as a nice tuneup before the meat of the schedule begins in a few weeks.
Ole Miss-Furman is streaming on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
