The Tennessee Volunteers were hoping transfer big man Uros Plavsic from Arizona State would be able to play this season.

After losing post players like Grant Williams and Kyle Alexander from last year’s squad, Plavsic would have filled a big need.

However, the waiver and appeal from the Vols were denied, and that caused ESPN analyst Jay Bilas to fire off an angry tweet at the NCAA:

Bilas isn’t the only unhappy one, as the Vols came out firing in a strong statement following the NCAA ruling.

Sadly, it likely won’t have an impact, as the NCAA ruling is final.
