Jayden Daniels has been stepping up for the Washington Commanders time and time again throughout his rookie season. On Sunday, the former LSU star came up big once again with a clutch drive against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In spite of 5 turnovers by Washington (including 2 interceptions from Daniels), the Commanders still had a chance to steal one late in the game. And that’s exactly what they did with Daniels finding Jamison Crowder with 6 seconds left for the improbable 36-33 win.

Washington trailed 27-14 entering the 4th quarter in this one but would not relent. Daniels quickly gave the Commanders a lead with back-to-back passing touchdowns in just over 4 minutes before the Eagles would scrap back into the lead.

However, Philadelphia settled for a pair of long field goals late in the game and could not put things away. Daniels made them pay with his eventual game-winner to cap a dramatic performance.

Washington accounted for just 368 yards of offense, and Daniels produced 339 of those as the team’s leading rusher and passer in the game. His 5 passing touchdowns finished 1 shy of Washington’s single-game franchise.

The Commanders are now 10-5 overall and looking at a postseason appearance in Daniels’ rookie season.
