Jayden Daniels is projected to be the first SEC player off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft, according to the latest mock from ESPN’s Field Yates.

Yates released his 1.0 mock draft on Wednesday morning. He’s projecting Daniels to be selected No. 2 overall by the Washington Commanders. North Carolina’s Drake Maye, often mocked into that No. 2 slot so far this offseason, fell to No. 3 in Yates’ projection.

Daniels was one of 12 former SEC stars projected to be picked in the 1st round. Two other LSU teammates, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., also made the cut. LSU was 1 of 3 programs who had a trio of projected 1st rounders in this mock (Alabama and Georgia). Missouri also has multiple projected Day 1 selections.

Here’s the full list of SEC players and their landing spots, per Yates’ mock:

  • QB Jayden Daniels, LSU | No. 2 overall | Washington Commanders
  • WR Malik Nabers, LSU | No. 6 overall | New York Giants
  • Edge Dallas Turner, Alabama | No. 8 overall | Atlanta Falcons
  • CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama | No. 15 overall | Indianapolis Colts
  • TE Brock Bowers, Georgia | No. 16 overall | Seattle Seahawks
  • CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Missouri | No. 23 overall | Houston Texans
  • LB Edgerrin Cooper, Texas A&M | No. 24 overall | Dallas Cowboys
  • OT JC Latham, Alabama | No. 27 overall | Arizona Cardinals
  • WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU | No. 28 overall | Buffalo Bills
  • Edge Darius Robinson, Missouri | No. 29 overall | Detroit Lions
  • CB Kamari Lassiter, Georgia | No. 30 overall | Baltimore Ravens
  • OT Amarius Mims, Georgia | No. 31 overall | San Francisco 49ers

The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27.
