Jayden Gibson and Nick Evers were committed to Florida, but they will instead play for Oklahoma. A day after Evers pledged to the Sooners, Gibson announced his verbal pledge to OU. Both plan to sign Wednesday.
A standout for West Orange near Orlando, Florida, Gibson is rated 4-stars, the No. 20 Florida product, No. 25 wide receiver and No. 149 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. During his recruitment, Gibson picked up 38 scholarship offers. When Gibson originally committed to Florida on Oct. 13, his other hats on the table were Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee. Hayes Fawcett of On3 says Gibson was considering Baylor, South Carolina and Georgia this time around.
