Gators top the Vols as 4-star DB Jaydon Hill announces commitment to Florida
Jaydon Hill’s recruitment is finally over.
The four-star defensive back from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala., has been a top prospect for several months now and after a spring and summer of being courted by nearly every elite program in the Southeast region, Hill has made his decision — he’s a Gator.
Long thought to be leaning toward joining Tennessee’s program, Hill’s recruitment took a last-minute turn in the Gators’ favor following a trip to Gainesville back in July. That trip must have left a lasting impression on Hill as he’s turned his back on Jeremy Pruitt’s program and announced his intentions to play for Dan Mullen in Gainesville.
Hill made his decision public with the following video:

If you haven’t been following Hill’s recruitment closely, he’s a 6-foot, 174-pound defensive back with offers from Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Duke, Michigan, Oklahoma and Nebraska among others. He’s rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 27 corner in the nation and the No. 10 overall recruit from the state of Alabama for the 2019 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Following Hill’s pledge, the Gators now hold commitments from 15 prospects for the 2019 recruiting cycle. Florida also jumps up to the nation’s No. 18 recruiting class with Hill now on board, one spot in front of Miami.
