Jaylen Henderson is off to a great start in his first start for Texas A&M.

The sophomore quarterback, who is starting in place of an injured Max Johnson, led the Aggies to a touchdown on their first drive of the game.

Henderson had a pair of completions for 44 yards to get the Aggies in good position to score, and then picked up some yards on the ground, capping off the drive with a 22-yard touchdown run to tie things up against Mississippi State. Henderson accounted for 84 total yards on the opening drive of the game.

It was a hot start for Henderson, and now he’s looking to keep things up to try and get a win that would make the Aggies bowl eligible.

Henderson got some from help from the defense on the next drive as they forced an interception. Now Henderson and the Aggies’ offense is marching down the field to try and take the lead.
